Sat. Apr. 21st: Microhood By Design Dinner
You can purchase tickets here.
Dear Diners and Culinary Adventurers,
The Bold Italic and Stag Dining Group place a premium on aesthetics. We know that design impacts experience, so everything we present together is as much of a feast for your eyes as it is on your palette. For the next installment in our series of microhood dinners, we’re taking that artistic concept one step further and celebrating local design with two of the city’s biggest innovators in their respective fields.
On Saturday, April 21st, the Bold Italic and Stag Dining Group present the Microhood by Design Dinner in Hayes Valley. Our featured guests will be architect Douglas Burnham and interiors whiz Kelly Malone. Douglas is the founder and principal architect at Envelope A+D, the firm behind the Proxy Project, which turned shipping containers into pop-ups in the Hayes Valley Green. Kelly Malone is the brains behind Workshop and Indie Mart who reworked The Bold Italic’s headquarters into two-story art gallery.
Between conversations with these two designers and the work they’ll have on display, we’ll have plenty to satisfy your eyes and ears. As for your palette, chef’s Jordan Grosser and Ted Fleury have designed a five course meal and wine pairings (subject to change):
Spring Vegetable Salad
goat cheese cremeux, rye crumb, sherry vinaigrette
Green Gazpacho
shellfish escabeche, herbs
Miso Glazed Duck Breast
carrot, fava, black trumpet
Roasted Duroc Pork Belly
amaranth, asparagus, pickled rhubarb, candied jalapeno
Yuzu Curd
tarragon meringue, strawberry
* Menu subject to change / 21+ over / No substitutions / 72 hour cancellation policy
